January, February, and March 2011

January
It has been a long winter, so to help with our winter blues we decided to take a trip to Disneyland. Steve's mom and dad and his brother and family were going to be there so we thought we better make a fast trip too!!! We took off one morning and drove straight through to California so we would be able to spend a couple days in the parks before we had to head back home to school and work.
Kylie on the swings, she wanted to ride this over and over. There wasn't a line so they let us stay on, big mistake on my part, having morning sickness plus being dizzy is not a good combination.
California cousins, Owen and Eyan with Teag
Cousins
The big 29, Yes!!! I am still in my twenties, one more year to go:(
Steve had to work on my birthday so my parents and kids surprised me with dinner and a Birthday Donut!!!
Kylie decided she wanted to play Jr. Jazz this year, she did very well and had a lot of fun!!
February
Do you recognize who this is?
Now do you?
Teagan came downstairs dressed in the picture above and asked me if I knew who he was, when I told him no he ran behind the chair and came back out as Superman, he was Clark Kent in the other picture. He is one silly boy!!!
Another trip to Disneyland
We made another trip to California in February, my mom and dad, me, Kylie, and Teag flew from Idaho and met Steve there. My parents took the kids to Knotts Berry for the first time, and they had a blast.
Kylie and Teagan
My parents were there for the first part of our trip, then they flew home and we stayed and met up with some of Steve's family at Disneyland for the rest of the week!!!
Here are the brave souls who dared to go on the Grizzly Rapids, it was Teagan's first time, he was finally tall enough to go on!!! They were soaking wet when they got off!!!
Hanging out with a little snack waiting for the rain to pass by.
Teagan, Mickey Mouse (in case you were wondering) and Kylie
Teagan watching for Kylie to come home from school
Steve's Birthday Surprise
We don't have much to post about, we really haven't had much going on the last couple months, Steve has been busy with work and Kylie and Teagan have been having fun at school!! But we were able to take a couple fun vacations and enjoy this wonderful cold weather!!!

December 2010

I know I haven't been very good about updating my blog, but I have a really good excuse this time. My computer has been giving me fits and I couldn't upload any of my pictures so finally we got a new computer to help with this problem and the many other problems the computer was giving us...so hopefully I will be better. But I'm sure in another 4 months I will have another good excuse for being behind!!!
So I will start the update in December!!!
December was a fun month for us, Kylie was off track the whole month and Steve had 3 weeks off from work so we were able to have some fun. Steve did get pneumonia so that ruined some of his time off, but he was able to join in on the indoor activities.
Kylie and her best friend/cousin Halle
Christmas Morning
I didn't take a lot of pictures on Christmas morning, so we only have a couple pictures. We had a very good Christmas, Santa brought the kids what they asked for and they even got a few surprises. We were in Utah for Christmas Eve and morning but after opening up all the fun presents we got in our truck and headed north to visit family in Idaho. And of course I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures.
Teagan and his new bike!!
Kylie and her new zhu-zhu pet

On Christmas Eve we made reservations for "The Roof "to celebrate and have some yummy dinner (yes I'm lazy and didn't want to make a big dinner so we went out). But the food was so good and It was fun to be in Temple Square Christmas Eve. After dinner we walk to Gateway and the kids were able to pick out a stuffed animal at Build a Bear, a pre-Christmas gift. Then we went home to make cookies for Santa and paint some new Christmas ornament's the kids picked out earlier in the month, and read the Christmas story. Kylie was ready to go to bed around 7:30, but we were able to talk her into staying up for a couple more hours!!!
Every year we get together with the Johnson family a couple days before Christmas. This year we celebrated at Dave and Lynnie's house. We had so much fun and ate way to much yummy food. The kids love to get together with their Johnson cousins and exchange present and play games, and of course they love getting presents from Grammy and Grandpa Johnson too!!
Teagan with his Ninja Turtle Wii game from his grandparents
Kylie and her play doh maker from her grandparents
We took the kids skiing for the first time. We went to Alta and it was probably the worst day ever to take them skiing. The wind was blowing so hard and it was snowing like crazy, needless to say the kids haven't wanted to try it again. Hopefully they will forget about this experience next skiing season!!!

Kylie' Big Day

My baby girl turned 8 this year!!! Can I just say how weird that is, I have a 2nd grader, that really makes me feel old. Kylie is such a good girl and we are so happy to have her in our family.
December 4th, 2010 Kylie was baptized, and what made this day even more special is that she was able to be baptized with her best friend and cousin, Halle!!!
Kylie and Halle
Kylie and her daddy, we were scared we were going to have to reschedule the baptism because Steve had pneumonia and was very weak. But it all worked out and Steve was able to perform the baptism!!!
After the baptism we had a brunch at Steve's brother and sister-in-law's house. It was fun to get together with family and friends to celebrate this special day for Kylie and Halle.
Steve, Kylie, Halle, and Dave (Steve's brother)

Kylie and Halle showing us their beautiful smiles.
(Can you tell Kylie takes after me in the height department, Kylie and Halle birthdays are only 5 days apart)
After the baptism, my family, who all traveled from Idaho, decided to go to Temple Square to see the lights. Unfortunately Steve couldn't go because he was so weak from pneumonia, but the kids and I went and had a great time.

Halloween

I am trying to be better at posting. So I know it is December and I am just posting about Thanksgiving, but when you are so behind like I am it takes a few weeks or months to catch up. Anyway...here are my two little monsters with our pumpkins. Steve carved the scary/mad face, Teag's the happy pumpkin, mine is the pirate skull and Kylie's is an art master piece. It was a fun family night and of course my kids can't just smile a normal smile, they have to pose. But that is why I love them so much.
Teagan wanted to be a cowboy this year, and isn't he the cutest little cowboy.
Teagan and Luke the mummy (cousin) at their pre-school party.
Belle aka Kylie at her school costume parade
This year we went trick or treating with some cousins in Draper. My kids got so much candy and not the little candy bars, but full size candy bars, it was crazy. My favorite candies are smarties and tootsie rolls and out of 6 kids, with full candy baskets, there was only 1 smartie. I couldn't believe it. Whats the point of letting your kids go trick or treating if you can't take out your favorite candy. So I was a little disappointed but the kids had a blast.

Avery, Halle, Jake, Teagan, and Kylie. We are missing Cade but he was still putting on his costume.
The night was freezing so we all piled into my sister-in-law Lynnie's van and went door to door trick or treating, Teagan wouldn't get out of the van so he made Kylie take his bucket up to the door to get his treats. Good thing he has such a nice sister.

Disneyland In September

Yes I know another Disneyland post...what can I say!!! But there probably won't be another one for awhile, our Annual passes expired in October and we didn't renew so who knows when we will be back. I am already craving a Monte Cristo so maybe we will go back soon...

We were able to plan a family trip to Disneyland with my side of the family. We had so much fun and love to go whenever and it's especially fun when we can go with a big group.

One of my families favorite thing to do in California Adventures is "Talking with Crush" the kids love it and every time we have gone Crush picks Teagan out of the audience to ask him a question. And every time Teag asks the same question, "Do you have a girlfriend?". It's too funny.

Teagan the mosquito!!!

Kylie in her Disneyland apparel (yes I did make that shirt, isn't it cute and Kylie too!)

Kudter, Teagan, and Kache

Cousin Misty, Aunt Nan, and me

Sari and Clair on the dumbo ride, as you can see Clair is enjoying the ride.

The Girls and Teagan

Grammy Lisa is the only person who will take Kylie on the Tea Cups, this ride makes Steve and I sick:)

Steve and Sarah doing what they do best

Teag, Kache, and Kylie

I am trying to convince Steve to go on Splash Mountain with me...we did go on and I made Steve sit in the front he got soaking wet. What a trooper!!

Snack time

Sarah, Dad, and Mom on Splash Mountain, never sit in the front on this ride ask my dad and Sarah!!

Nan and Kylie in the back. I have found that the middle is the best spot, which I make sure I get even if that means sacrificing Kylie and putting her in the front.

Kache, Kudter, Teagan, and Kylie. Teagan had so much fun cause his two buddies came, normally it's Kylie who is surrounded by her girl cousins and Teagan doesn't have anyone to play with. But don't feel to bad for Kylie, Grammy Lisa spoiled her like crazy.

Yikes, close up, not you Misty just me

Sari was a little tired so she sat in the Stucki boy's stroller and had Nan push her around.

The World of Color was amazing. We were able to go to the show twice and loved both shows, the second show we had better seats right in the middle. It is definitely a show you have to see when you go to Disneyland!!!

Well that is it, the last post of a Johnson Family Disneyland trip!!
