November and December 2009

Warning, this is a very long post. When I first started I didn't think I was that behind and instead of doing 2 separate post I combined it all together. So I am apologizing now, sorry. Now that that is done with I will continue the update starting with what is new with us now...
January: We have moved back to Utah and everything is going very good. When we moved back I was nervous because Kylie was going to start a new school, and coming from a school of 230 some students and going to a school with about 1200 students it was going to be a big adjustment. She has done great, she did get lost the 2nd day and was a bit traumatized, but other then that its been a lot better then I thought it would be. She has also met up with some of the girls she played with before the move to Idaho and has made new friends in her class. Teag is doing good also, just hanging out at home with me and getting whatever he wants, which I think he enjoys very much. Steve is busy with work and watching, reading or anything else he can do to keep himself updated on BYU sports. And I have started school at BYU, and not sure on a major yet, but when I get close to graduating I will let you know!!
We also got a little Shih-tzu, his name is Dash, but don't get too attached because I just sold him yesterday. We had him for about 3 weeks and that was 3 weeks too long. He is really cute and that is why I let Steve talk me into buying him, but I have learned I am NOT a dog person. I like dogs when they belong to someone else, but not when I have to clean up after them. We sold him to a really nice woman who has another Shih-Tzu and I think he will be much happier and very spoiled. About a hour after we sold him, Steve starts talking to the kids about getting another pet, but don't worry I stopped that in a hurry!!
Bye little Dash
Don't mess with Teag when he is playing the Wii, he really gets into Mario Brothers.
December: Christmas Morning
Kylie and Teagan were a little spoiled this year, but it was a fun Christmas day!

Teag lovin his new 4-wheeler from Santa.
Kylie and her new doll, they even have matching outfit.
The grand kids minus Sadie Marie
Teag, Ceciley, Hadley, Kylie, Cooper, and Joey
Teag and Hadley are serious gamers
My mom really gets into Rock Band, it got a little scary so I had to get the kids out of the room before she hurt someone.
Christmas Eve:
Every year my family gets together for some food, fun, and well more food, but that's what happens on the holidays. We had a party at my Grandma B's house where we have dinner, then a Christmas program put on by different members of the family, after the very long program (Kylie's words not mine) the kids get to open present. It was very fun, and my kids got some pretty cool presents.
The little cousins got to put on the Nativity Story while my Grandma B. read it out of the Bible.
Kylie with her very own lotion kit. Thank you Julie very much, I owe you BIG time.

Johnson Family Christmas Party:
We were able to make the Johnson Christmas party and had so much fun. We love getting together with Steve's family. Kylie and Teag love to play with their cousins and they did plenty of that. The kids got to dress up for the Nativity Story again, and get lots of presents.
Teag and Luke with their Car's toys
Gifts from Grammy and Grandpa Johnson
The week before Christmas Steve, the kids, and I got to go to Vegas for the Vegas Bowl. While we were there Steve got 2 migraines so his trip was ruined, but luckily my mom and dad were there too, so the kids and I tagged along with them and Steve crashed in the hotel. I think he just said he had a migraine so he didn't have to go shopping with me:) So we drove 9 hours to Vegas to watch the game at the hotel, but I am kind of glad we didn't go because it was so cold outside and the wind was blowing so hard. Just before the game started I took the kids to get some dinner at a restaurant down the street and when we were walking back to the hotel a big gust a wind came sweeping through and blew Teag into the road, I had to hurry and grab him before a car hit him. It was a fun trip for me and the kids and I think Steve had fun too, minus the migraines.
A little bowling at our hotel.

December 14th:
Gingerbread houses
Kylie and Brayden's house, when they finished Brayden picked it up to take it home and it dropped and broke into pieces
Becky and Ceciley's Gingerbread house
Jeff and Erin's Gingerbread house
Neil and Joey's Gingerbread house
December 12th:
We were able to go to Utah and meet up with the Edinborough's, Brandon and Misty and their boys. It was a lot of fun, we went to the mall and did some shopping, talked with Santa to make sure he knew what the kids wanted for Christmas, go to Temple Square to see the lights, and then we went to Benihana's for dinner, Yummy, love their food.

Kashe, Kudter, and Teag
Nan, Malory, Me, Misty, and Sarah
December 7th: Kylie's school Christmas Program
I don't have many pictures of the actual program but before we left the house I wanted to get a nice picture of the kids in front of the Christmas tree, and of course Kylie stands up right away and poses perfectly and then we try to get Teag in but for some unknown reason he can't stand still and so here is proof that my son is crazy!!! And to top it off Kylie starts doing these crazy poses too. So I just have to give up...

Kylie, the little green candy cane!!!
November: Kylie's Birthday.
Oh my goodness I can't believe how big Kylie is getting, she is such a sweet, loving little girl and I can't imagine my life without her. She is always ready to help me and is so good with Teagan. Happpy Birthday Kylie Bug!!
Kylie and my cousin Patrick's birthdays are on the same day so they get to celebrate together. But as you can tell Pat is a little upset about his presents compared to the haul Kylie made!!!
I had to show off the cute little birthday treats I made for Kylie's class. They are brownie pops and are sooo good. I made Hello Kitty for the girls and Elmo for the boys.

DISNEYLAND WITH THE JOHNSONS
Yay, we are at Disneyland again. Steve's family made plans to go to Disneyland on the first of November and we didn't think we would be able to go because we just went the first of October with my family, but luckily for us Steve's work scheduled him to speak in the Anaheim area that same week, I bet you can imagine how upset we were to pack our bags and head to Southern Cali again!!!
This trip was a lot of fun because Teagan was able to go on all the rides. Usually Steve would go on the ride with Kylie first and I would wait with Teag then I would go on with Kylie with the stroller pass and Steve would wait with Teag, but this time we all got to go together, so much better!! For most of the rides you have to be 40 inches tall and Teag is only 39 1/2 inches, so being the creative parents that we are, we stuffed his shoes with fruit snacks and napkins giving him that extra 1/2 inch. He was able to go on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, and Thunder Mountain, which he absolutly loved. I was worried he would be scared on Space Mountain because it is dark the whole ride, but he just laughed and wanted to go on it over and over again.
The Johnson crew minus a couple siblings. Hopefully next year everyone will be able to make it!!
Getting ready for the High School Musical Parade
I had to post this because I am awesome:) Look at that score isn't it beautiful!! Love the Toy Story Ride.
Teagan's first ride on the Tower of Terror!!! I was so proud of him, he didn't even cry, but he did tell us that he didn't want to go on it again!!
Teag and Luke
Kylie and her daddy waiting for the park to open.
Kylie and Teag ready for some fun!!!

The End of a very long post!!!!

Trick or Treat California Style

I know I am behind on blogging but I have a good excuse, my computer hates me. It is painfully slow, so whenever I even think about updating I decide I don't want to wait around for my pictures to download. But today as I got on and realized it has been over a month I thought I better get with it and post what has been going on with the Johnsons!
So to start....Halloween day was a busy and very fun day. We started the day by catching a flight to Sunny California to visit Steve's brother Mike and his family. As you can see in the picture Teagan is very excited to get on the plane. I don't know why but whenever I take pictures Teagan always has to do some ninja pose. It must be a boy thing!!
When we landed we made our way to Steve's brother's house, and luckily for us Briana's (sister-in-law) mom invited us over for a Halloween dinner. The kids were a little nervous because we were told we were having snake for dinner, and I must say it was very good. But after they saw that the snake was really a sandwich they relaxed and chowed down.
This year Kylie wanted to be a lady bug and Teagan Mickey Mouse. Do you notice a difference from Trick-or-Treating in California compared to Idaho. My kids are in shorts and t-shirts. It was so nice not to bundle up and cover the costumes with coats and snowpants. Poor little Teagan was sweating in his costume. I think we might have to make a tradition of going to California on Halloween. The only problem I had was no one handed out Smarties or Tootsie Rolls, that is the only reason I let my kids go trick or treating is to get me those. Out of two bags full of candy we got a total of 5 tootsie rolls and 0 smarties. I couldn't believe it, but they got a ton of M&M's and snickers, I guess that will have to do.

We had alot of fun and brought home too many treats!!

Halloween Fun

I absolutely love Halloween, it is one of my favorite holidays. It is just so much fun, I love to decorate and dress up, and there are always some type of Halloween activities going on. This year it has been a very busy holiday, between family parties, school parties, ward parties, and neighbor parties we have had something to do with Halloween almost everyday the last two weeks. So much fun.
This week my family got together to carve some pumpkins at my parent's house. I usually ask Kylie what she wants me to carve on the pumpkin but this year I let her carve her own. It was a little scary, but she was able to do it with no loss of blood. I think I drove her crazy standing over her shoulder making sure everything was okay. It is hard to let my kids grow up and do things on their own.
Kylie, Joey, Papa Bill, and Brayden carving away!
The finished product
The pumpkin heads!
Kylie's school has been celebrating red ribbon week this week and each day they get to dress up. One day was crazy hair day so this is how Kylie wanted to do her hair. Doing her hair was pretty easy, but taking it out didn't go very well, let just say she has chunks of hair missing. But the important lesson is I have learned from my mistakes so hopefully it won't happen again. That is if she will let me fix her hair again.
Joey, Mrs. Walker, and Kylie
The next day was Super Hero Day
One of the Halloween parties was for the girls in activity days in my ward. The girls dressed up and looked so cute, we had a party with lots of treats and fun games.
Teagan and Hadley after their pre-school Halloween party. Teagan's costume is a little small for him. He wanted to be Mickey Mouse but the only size I could find was 24 months, so I had to get it for him. Oh well, he still is the cutest Mickey Mouse!! And of course Hads looks hot as a rock star or as she calls herself "Hannah Montana" or a "Ballerina" or whatever she is in the mood to be.

Disneyland in October

October has been a crazy busy month. We have moved out of our rental house in Blackfoot and have moved in with my parents until December. They have been begging us to move in with them because we are just so much fun to be around, at least that is what I am trying to convince them of. We will be moving back to Utah after Christmas, where, we are not sure yet. I will be transferring to BYU so either back into our house in Herriman or somewhere in Utah Valley. I am sure we won't decide until the day we are moving. On to the fun stuff now, we were able to go to Disneyland again this year with my parents and sister and her family. It was a lot of fun. You might notice Steve is only in a few pictures, that is because he had to leave after a couple days of vacation to go to work. But don't feel too bad for him because he had to go to Hawaii. Poor guy, what a tough job!!! On our way home my parents dropped me off in Vegas and drove the rest of the way home with my kids, oh how I owe them big. Steve flew into Vegas and met me and we were able to go to the BYU vs. UNLV game. So even though October has been very busy it has been a fun month!!
