Kylie' Big Day

My baby girl turned 8 this year!!! Can I just say how weird that is, I have a 2nd grader, that really makes me feel old. Kylie is such a good girl and we are so happy to have her in our family.
December 4th, 2010 Kylie was baptized, and what made this day even more special is that she was able to be baptized with her best friend and cousin, Halle!!!
Kylie and Halle
Kylie and her daddy, we were scared we were going to have to reschedule the baptism because Steve had pneumonia and was very weak. But it all worked out and Steve was able to perform the baptism!!!
After the baptism we had a brunch at Steve's brother and sister-in-law's house. It was fun to get together with family and friends to celebrate this special day for Kylie and Halle.

(Can you tell Kylie takes after me in the height department, Kylie and Halle birthdays are only 5 days apart)
After the baptism, my family, who all traveled from Idaho, decided to go to Temple Square to see the lights. Unfortunately Steve couldn't go because he was so weak from pneumonia, but the kids and I went and had a great time.

Halloween

I am trying to be better at posting. So I know it is December and I am just posting about Thanksgiving, but when you are so behind like I am it takes a few weeks or months to catch up. Anyway...here are my two little monsters with our pumpkins. Steve carved the scary/mad face, Teag's the happy pumpkin, mine is the pirate skull and Kylie's is an art master piece. It was a fun family night and of course my kids can't just smile a normal smile, they have to pose. But that is why I love them so much.
Teagan wanted to be a cowboy this year, and isn't he the cutest little cowboy.
Teagan and Luke the mummy (cousin) at their pre-school party.
Belle aka Kylie at her school costume parade
This year we went trick or treating with some cousins in Draper. My kids got so much candy and not the little candy bars, but full size candy bars, it was crazy. My favorite candies are smarties and tootsie rolls and out of 6 kids, with full candy baskets, there was only 1 smartie. I couldn't believe it. Whats the point of letting your kids go trick or treating if you can't take out your favorite candy. So I was a little disappointed but the kids had a blast.

Avery, Halle, Jake, Teagan, and Kylie. We are missing Cade but he was still putting on his costume.
The night was freezing so we all piled into my sister-in-law Lynnie's van and went door to door trick or treating, Teagan wouldn't get out of the van so he made Kylie take his bucket up to the door to get his treats. Good thing he has such a nice sister.

Disneyland In September

Yes I know another Disneyland post...what can I say!!! But there probably won't be another one for awhile, our Annual passes expired in October and we didn't renew so who knows when we will be back. I am already craving a Monte Cristo so maybe we will go back soon...

We were able to plan a family trip to Disneyland with my side of the family. We had so much fun and love to go whenever and it's especially fun when we can go with a big group.

One of my families favorite thing to do in California Adventures is "Talking with Crush" the kids love it and every time we have gone Crush picks Teagan out of the audience to ask him a question. And every time Teag asks the same question, "Do you have a girlfriend?". It's too funny.

Teagan the mosquito!!!

Kylie in her Disneyland apparel (yes I did make that shirt, isn't it cute and Kylie too!)

Kudter, Teagan, and Kache

Cousin Misty, Aunt Nan, and me

Sari and Clair on the dumbo ride, as you can see Clair is enjoying the ride.

The Girls and Teagan

Grammy Lisa is the only person who will take Kylie on the Tea Cups, this ride makes Steve and I sick:)

Steve and Sarah doing what they do best

Teag, Kache, and Kylie

I am trying to convince Steve to go on Splash Mountain with me...we did go on and I made Steve sit in the front he got soaking wet. What a trooper!!

Snack time

Sarah, Dad, and Mom on Splash Mountain, never sit in the front on this ride ask my dad and Sarah!!

Nan and Kylie in the back. I have found that the middle is the best spot, which I make sure I get even if that means sacrificing Kylie and putting her in the front.

Kache, Kudter, Teagan, and Kylie. Teagan had so much fun cause his two buddies came, normally it's Kylie who is surrounded by her girl cousins and Teagan doesn't have anyone to play with. But don't feel to bad for Kylie, Grammy Lisa spoiled her like crazy.

Yikes, close up, not you Misty just me

Sari was a little tired so she sat in the Stucki boy's stroller and had Nan push her around.

The World of Color was amazing. We were able to go to the show twice and loved both shows, the second show we had better seats right in the middle. It is definitely a show you have to see when you go to Disneyland!!!

Well that is it, the last post of a Johnson Family Disneyland trip!!

First Day Of School

Teagan's first day of Pre-school. He was so excited to finally be able to go to school and he is in the same class as his cousin Luke. He loves his teachers and his favorite thing at school is snack time!!!

Kylie's in 2nd grade. She started school in July at one school then we moved so she had to be the new girl again. It was a little rough at first but now that she has made some new friends she loves it.

This is Kylie at the first school on the first day!!!

Teagan's Birthday

My little buddy turned 4 in July. Teagan is the sweetest little boy, he makes us laugh all the time and is just the happiest little guy. He wants to be like his daddy and it is so much fun to see them together. On his birthday we were in Portland and Steve had to speak at a seminar so before he started his presentation he had Teagan come up to the front of the group and everyone at the seminar sang Happy Birthday to him. He was a little scared and shy when he was up front but once he ran back to me he thought he was the coolest kid ever.

Teagan showing me how old he is

Teagan wanted to eat at Texas Roadhouse for his birthday dinner but we couldn't find one anywhere in Portland. When we finally drove back to Utah we were able to take him out for some yummy steak.

1st Birthday Cake

We went to Blackfoot so Teagan could celebrate his birthday with his Idaho cousins. Grammy Lisa threw him a pirate birthday, which he loved and he received some awesome gifts from his cousins.

Grammy Lisa and Papa Bill set up a screen outside so all the kids could watch a movie outside on the trampoline later that night!!!

Summer Fun

So it has been awhile...but I decided I better post all the fun we had this summer. In July Steve's office sent him to Portland for the week so the kids and I thought we better tag along. We decided to drive instead of fly so we could stop in Nyssa, OR to see where Steve's mom grew up, and we were able to find the cemetery where Steve's grandparents are buried. The drive was long but we survived:) Actually the drive wasn't too bad, it was really a pretty drive once you got into Oregon. We stayed in the Portland area and while Steve was at his seminars the kids and I were able to play and shop. Steve had one day off so we took a day trip to the coast and played at Cannon Beach, we definitely want to go back to Cannon Beach for a longer vacation it was so beautiful and fun.

Teagan struttin his stuff
While Steve worked we would go to the water fountains in downtown to cool off.

Cannon Beach in the morning, it cleared up about an hour later, the weather was perfect the entire trip.

On our drive to the coast we had to pull over and take some pictures of the scenery.

DISNEYLAND
I know another Disneyland post but what can we say we love us some Disneyland!!! Steve had a week off from work and we were just going to hang out at the house. We went to the PO Box to get our mail and Steve received some free nights at any Marriott so we packed up and headed to California for a quick trip. We had a blast but we were disappointed because the Toy Story ride was closed down the entire time we were there.

Kylie and Teagan at the Playhouse Disney Show

This is the first time we have ever ridden the Monorail so we were pretty excited to be able to sit up front with the driver!!!
